Before Floor Replacement

The existing floor consisted of carpet tiles laid onto timber access floor panels, beneath which service cables ran. The whole floor was supported on mini acro props, each adjustable in height. The client required a portugese limestone floor (which we procured ) instead of the carpet.

600x600 timber access floor screwed down and Flexibase fitted

To overcome the possibility of cracking caused by timber floor movement, a tile carrier was bonded to the floor. This absorbed any minute movement preventing transfer to the tile.

Man-Holes designed and fabricated

The timber Man-Holes were flexible, thus inadequate for carrying the tiles. Purpose-made Man-Holes were designed, fabricated and installed (in-house). Premfloor always implement fully engineered solutions and a high percentage of our metal fabricating is custom made.

Mats and mat well manufactured and fitted.

Premfloor recommended CES entrance matting, and manufactured the frames to suit. This matting can be easily dismantled and re-assembled after cleaning. It is also used on both sides.

Longevity assured

Ten years after completion. The floor still holds a lovely shine thanks to adherence to maintenance procedures.
