Diamond Polishing Supermarket Open 24 Hours
Requirement
Premfloor were requested to undertake a complete diamond polish to a large 24/7 supermarket. The store had undergone significant terrazzo repairs such as new terrazzo tiling & joint replacements. There were around 28 aisles and 3 main cross aisles of widths between 2.4m and 4m.
Centre & Cross Aisles
Weekend closures afforded times between midnight on Saturday to 10am Sunday, and 4.30pm Sunday to midnight for floor refurbishment. Main aisles and entrances were treated during such hours, to ensure minimal inconvenience in these heavy traffic areas during trading.
Barriers
This work was to a live trading store. Aisles being worked on were isolated using bright yellow barriers as works were taking place. (Operatives were frequently called upon to pass product to customers when requested.) Once the aisles were completed, wet floor signs were placed, until the floor was perfectly dry.
